Our Beliefs
"A community of faith seeking to know Christ and to make Christ known"
We believe God has called us to be a nurturing, Bible-based community of faith for all ages. We are enabled by the grace of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Rooted in prayer, we will encourage each other to discover, develop, share and celebrate our spiritual gifts.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. We accept him as our Lord and Savior.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God. Salvation comes only through him.
We believe that God is our Creator.
We believe that God the Holy Spirit is present with us always to guide us, help us and empower us for living in this world.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and fully reliable word of God. It was written through the Lord's apostles and prophets as they were inspired and directed by God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ. We believe that the church, a human organization, is empowered by God and is the greatest hope for the world. Through the church everyone can find friendship, hope, wholeness, meaning, and life within the Body of Christ.
We believe in two ordinances, called sacraments: Baptism and Communion.

We believe in two ordinances, called sacraments: Baptism and Communion.
- Baptism - We baptize by immersing in water, following the confession of faith in Jesus Christ. We also accept baptisms and confirmations of other denominations and groups if that has meaning for a person wishing to join Harvey Park.
- Communion - We celebrate communion each week during worship. Communion is also called the Lord's Supper or Eucharist. Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is welcome to partake in communion, regardless of religious affiliation.
