ROUNDUP IS COMING SEPTEMBER 9TH
Yep, it's that time again, folks, to round up your pardners and cook up some grub for the annual Roundup and pot luck! More details a-comin'!
TIMOTHY AND PRISCILLA FUND
Matthew and Taylor Smith are our ministry interns attending Denver Seminary. It is the time of year for us to collect contributions to the Timothy and Priscilla fund to pay their tuition for the next semester of school. If you would like to help with this, please make out your check to HPCC and designate it for Timothy & Priscilla fund, then put it in the offering tray. Thank you so much for your support of these two very special people!
PUTTING FEET TO OUR FAITH
The Bi-Annual Fall Fest Regional Assembly will be at First Christian Church in Casper, WY, on September 21-23! “Putting Feet to our Faith” will be our theme this year. Our Keynote Speakers will be our current General Minister and President, Rev. Teresa “Terri” Hord Owens, along with our Executive Regional Minister, Rev. Joan Bell-Haynes. All Are Welcome!! You can register on the CRMR website.
If you don't have a name tag and would like one, or yours is a little the worse for wear, please put a note on your friendship card on Sunday, or you may call the office at 303-789-3142. Remember to check the list on the end of the name tag boxes to see which one yours is in.
KING SOOPERS RELOADABLE CARDS
The reloadable King Soopers cards are available for purchase during the week in the church office. On Sunday, please see Carol Steele. They are preloaded with $25.00 and are linked to the church. Each time you use the card and reload at King Soopers you help the church. You can reload the card for any amount you wish up to $500. Just reload at the check-out stand. It can be used indefinitely and for not only groceries, but pharmacy and gas. But if it has a zero balance longer than 3 months it is no longer linked to HPCC. The church receives 5% for all purchases with the card. You can buy groceries and help the church at the same time!
There is a sign-up sheet on the hall bulletin board across from the office for 2018 hospitality. If you would be willing to serve the coffee and cookies after worship, please sign up. Thank you for help in this ministry.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY YES?
If you have volunteered to be a scripture reader or greeter and would like to serve in the month of January, please call or email the office and let Betty know which Sunday you would like to serve. We could really use the help, thanks!
PRAYER REQUEST REMINDER
Please remember to mark on the back of your Friendship cards how you would like your Prayer Request handled. If there isn't a box marked, it is given to the pastor only. Prayer requests are kept on the Prayer List in the bulletin for 2 weeks, then they are removed. If you would like your request kept longer, please let us know.
WANT TO BE MORE ACTIVE IN CHURCH?
Here are a few of the ministries we need your help with:
There is also a bible study on Wednesday mornings and Sunday School on Sunday mornings before worship.
If you feel called to any of these activities or have any questions, contact Thom or Betty in the church office (303-789-3142, firstname.lastname@example.org).
BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY LISTS
If you are not included in the birthday and anniversary lists, but would like to be, please let Betty in the church office know. The lists come out each month in the HARK. You may call or leave a note on her desk with your name, occasion, month and day.
WE'RE STILL HAVING A COOKIE SHOWER!
We need cookies for the fellowship time after church on Sunday mornings. If you would like to bring cookies, please leave them in the kitchen marked for the Fellowship Coffee. Thanks a lot!
SNOW SHOVELERS' SIGN-UP SHEET
With the cold breath of winter comes that weather phenomenon again: SNOW! And believe it or not, some of it even lands on church property (*smile*). If you can take a week to be responsible for the sidewalk, courtyard and stairs snow removal, it would be greatly appreciated. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the hall, and thanks very much for helping with this ministry!
